A story about Kris Krug
Kris has the most beat-up 12” powerbook I’ve ever seen – it’s missing about a third of the keys. In spite of this it’s the nexus of a far-reaching matrix of arts, business and magic.

I met KK at the movie premiere for Snakes on a Plane, at the Rio Theatre. I’d received permission to run amok with my camera, friends, and a python named Monty. While I was doing this, Kris recognized me from being around online and introduced himself.
It was cool to meet him randomly like that, since I’d seen his photography before and really enjoy it!
I met KK last year at one of the O’Reilly conferences. OSCON? Web 2.0? Something like that. He’s got a good eye. I like that. He’s one of those guys that I’m happy to share a shot with.
I met Kris in Portland at the Podcast Hotel—since then, since he lives so far away from me, I’m stuck going to crappy conferences so I can hang with the King of the Kamera.
I didn’t have much talk with him or not many people while I was in Vancouver because I think I was hell nervous.. though, I definitely like to talk with him in the future!
